Water For People is close to my heart. The mission is so pure, so critical. The values and approach – informed by justice, equity, and dignity – are in alignment with my own. And the work has proven successful at ending water and sanitation poverty one school, one home, one clinic, one village at a time. Water For People sets the standard in the water and sanitation sector, constantly innovating.

Many years ago, I made a decision to include Water For People in my estate planning, and joined the Safe Water Guardian program. I’d had the privilege of visiting with Water For People’s talented staff and the people they serve in Guatemala, Honduras, Bolivia, Malawi, and Rwanda. On those trips, as a volunteer and later as a member of the organization’s Board of Directors, I saw first-hand the power of #EveryoneForever: people with the capacity to change their lives for the better. Not through charity, but through empowerment. I can think of no better legacy to leave behind than a contribution to sustaining Water For People’s work.
